One thing I’ve realized over the years, especially after being married is that not everyone celebrates holidays the same way and that’s not a bad thing. With every holiday that approaches I get excited that it’s another opportunity that my own little family can choose our own traditions. Josh and I can take each of our families traditions while growing up and blend them to make something special and all our own. So great to see some of those come alive today.
Easter bunny went pretty practical this yr. Left is Kingsley’s, on the right is Jameson’s! At 8 months Kingsley is slowly making this way into the world of food so I updated some of our spoon feeding essentials. Jameson Is just over two and has showed some interest in using the big boy potty so we decided now might be a good time to see if he’s ready to make the leap to big boy undies! I’m excited for him but also can’t believe we are already here, like really? Needless to say I think both boys enjoyed their new goodies.
As much as I had fun putting these “Eastet baskets” together for them. I enjoy spending this day with family. Taking the time to be thankful for the gift of life and grace. There is no greater love, such sacrifice. I hope to always keep Him our focus, so our children know the true reason for celebrating.
We spent the afternoon and evening with my in-laws. Enjoyed a great dinner with people we are blessed to have in our lives. Ever since we have moved we don’t get to see some of our family member quite as often as we would like, so it was a special time to see everyone. The boys so enjoy their cousins. Jameson was a master at hunting Easter Eggs, such a change from last year!
Can’t believe how much our family has grown in just two yrs. Next year we will be even more blessed.
