One of the things my hands were busy with this weekend, laundry detergent. I have had many readers ask about my recipe so here it is.
I started to make my own laundry soap a few years ago when sister in-law shared her experience with me. Since then I’ve tried different variations but the basics have never changed.
- 2 shredded bars Fels Naptha
- Box of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
- Box of Borax
- Tub of Oxi Clean
I mix all of the above ingredients in a large container and use a smaller container in my cabinets in my laundry room for my convienance. The combination including Citrus Fresh & Purification we have used used the last few months and I’m thinking we will stick with this for a while.
I sent my husband a few Pinterest links while he was at work, thinking it was a project we could tackle in a few months. That evening he came home with a saw and all the supplies to make this beauty happen. He is quite the guy.
I am sure there are plenty of prettier things I could style on these beautiful honeycomb shelves but my oils needed a home. accessible but not in the reach of little ones hands. I am so thankful for him and thrilled will houe they turned out!
