One thing I have learned in my 27 years is it’s always good to take a step back and reevaluate my life, direction and actions. How can I improve. And with the New Years arrival I thought it was a good time to focus a little more.
How can I be a better woman, wife and mother?
I think it starts with taking care of myself. Because if I am not in a positive mind set, mentally, emotionally and physically feeling good then how can I best take care of my family? A healthy balance are key.
Today I am sharing a few things that I am trying or being more consistent with in search of a healthy lifestyle. Make sure to read through carefully! There are details to a pretty sweet giveaway.
Getting up earlier. This one is SO hard for me. With two toddlers and a baby and staying up to spend some time with my husband who gets off between eleven and midnight. I am often exhausted and have struggled to set my alarm, instead I wake up when the boys get up.
Prayer and Meditation. Is a huge part of my mental and emotional health. Taking time to lift my worries, breathe and focus on the present day and positive thoughts.
Plan ahead. To keep my anxiety in check I try to keep lists and have a schedule. As far as accomplishing my lists and sticking to the schedule.. It’s still a work in progress. But that is a goal of mine to be more efficient with my day instead of getting lost in the chaos.
Healthy Decisions. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Wake up with a glass a water. Just do it.
Today I wanted to eat pizza, badly. But instead I made this delicious smoothie bowl for me and the boys!
Rest. If I can’t catch a cat nap while the boys are napping then I try to head to bed earlier. Turn the tv off and put my phone down. Or at least relax while using Essential oils and sipping on tea.
