Fighting through tears as I am writing this. But they aren’t all sad tears, mostly joyful and thankful tears. Five years ago today my now husband and I decided we wanted to be married and twenty-four days later we said our vows together, by ourselves in front of a judge. Back then we were crazy young kids in love. Two people knowing that we didn’t want to wait, didn’t want to separate and no matter what life threw at us we wanted to do it together.
Five years and three precious boys later we are still in love. Still don’t always know what we are doing but whatever life throws up we know we will do it together. While my husband being deployed on his favorite holiday is a little hard, we wish he was here, but we sure are proud of him and everything he does for our family and country.
Kingsley enjoys fireworks when he can see them but gets a little jumpy with the crackles and loud booms when there aren’t any pretty sparks. He would run into my arms, I hope he always feels safe with me like he does now. Can’t believe he will be two in twenty days.
His smile – Baby you’re a firework!
If you know my husband personally you probably know of his family nickname Joshy Boom Boom, because he LOVES fireworks, especially the ear shattering, house shaking ones! Ha.
