It has been some time since I did a update on our lives. After all that is why I started Kristle’s Clarity, to document our life and share my journey. I have thoroughly enjoyed the path Kristle’s Clarity has taken me, I have met some amazing people and had some great opportunities that I am very grateful for. Because my husband has been deployed for the last five months I haven’t had the time write like I used. Looking forward to get back into the swing of things after the holidays. I have some exciting things in store!
Back to the update..
Josh left in April and we are now just weeks away from his homecoming. The deployment hasn’t been easy on any of us but I definitely have noticed some positives.
The physical distance between Josh and I has reminded us not to take quality time for granted. It has given me the opportunity to show our boys that as much as their Dad is an amazing handy man around the house, their mama can fix things too!
The boys miss him. I have to say it melts my heart to here them bring him up and beam with happiness while talking about what he does. They are SO proud of him. We all are. He is out there working really hard and has had some great experiences. I will be sharing our experience with this deployment in full after he returns.
J is just months away from turning four. He is bright, full of energy and so sweet. He has been putting sentences together and asking so many questions. I love to ask him questions about how things make him feel. He chooses happy or joyful most days! He has also been a little challenging as of late (you can read more about that on a previous post) but it’s just all apart of his growing process.
K is almost two and has turned into the sweetest little boy, he impresses me daily on the words he is picking up. He is even putting together short sentences! We are currently working on colors and shapes. His new thing is to give me kisses just about every thirty minutes, it is the sweetest thing in the world.
L is almost fourteen months old. He says mama and dadda, waves high and bye and signs all done. We are still working on some other signs. He has been taking about six steps at a time and then will crawl. But he is walking more often every day, I imagine he will be walking steadily by the time Daddy comes home! That alone makes me tear up.
We have taken our days slow. Spending a lot of time cuddled up in mama and dads bed. And for right now that’s more than enough for me.
I have been known to love a good serape blanket. This one from Del Mex in particular is so great and perfect for this fall weather. Hand made serape blanket sewn onto a soft sherpa material! It’s been with us at a football game, keeping Lennox dry on our way into the store and has kept us cozy while munching on snacks while at the park. It’s so versatile, I can’t rave about it enough! I am even thinking of ordering another for L’s crib when he is moved into his own room. Del Mex’s Instagram is full of inspiration, they offer embroidered dresses, home decor and more!
My new dashed arrow mud cloth throw from MINI-malist is my new statement piece for our master bed. I love to keep things simple and minimal so this is perfect! MINI-Maoist is a children’s wear and home accessory brand based in LA and their pieces are also manufactured there as well. I am looking forward to their new line of LA made prints and pillows, coming soon!
They have been so generous to offer something from each of their shops! A serape baby blanket of choice from Del Mex and a 75$ credit to MINI-malist! Head to my Instagram to find out how to enter!!
